The league commences the year with the Thompson Shield. This is the
competition for the Captain's and Vice Captain's of the sixteen clubs
which make up the league.
This year the competition was played at Whitley Bay Golf Club on
Sunday 14th April and to played for on SILLOTH terms.

As Whitley Bay won the event, they will host the event again next
year.
The first league matches of the new season will start on Thursday
2nd May.
The Players Championship will be held at Northumberland Golf Club
on Sunday 29th September.
The Annual Dinner will be held on Friday 2nd November.
The AGM will be on Wednesday 1st December.
